Elementary students struggle with number sense and place value. This impacts their fluency when operating with numbers. This 10-day Kickstart will give you ways to increase your students' number sense so that they can work more fluently when operating with numbers.

Who's the kickstart for?
This 10-day kickstart is designed for elementary educators looking to make a change in the way they help students learn mathematics. If you are wanting to build their understanding of math and not just have them be calculators, this is for you. Calculating is still important, but we need to build a solid understanding of numbers first.
Whether you're 2 months or 20 years into being a teacher, are a classroom teacher, homeschooler, interventionist, math coach, there's something for everyone who works with students in the elementary grades on building their math understandings.
Am I guaranteed this will increase math performance?
While I'd love to be able to guarantee, there is no 'silver bullet' that increases math performance no matter what the circumstances. There is so much that goes into improving math scores, but what I can guarantee is that you'll be given the resources, techniques, and support you need to clarify what your students are missing in their number sense understandings, get a plan to work on those, and have things you can use right away to start laying a solid foundation of number sense...which in real life is more important than math scores.
What stuff do I need?
Just you and your group of students. If I want you to use a specific thing, I will give that as a part of the resources.
What's the time commitment?
The emails each day will take approximately 3 minutes to read each day. The videos for each day will vary but are no more than 17 minutes (which can be listened to on 2x speed) for a total of just under 2 hours of content. Then it's up to you how much and how often you spend implementing the ideas with your students.
